Introduction

This document describes a Microsoft SQL Server version 6.5 bug, which can cause the Cisco Intelligent Contact Management (ICM) not to show any data in the fields when trying to modify an existing script within the script editor.

Before You Begin

Conventions

For more information on document conventions, see the Cisco Technical Tips Conventions.

Prerequisites

Before using the information in this document, please ensure that you meet the following prerequisites:

  • Cisco ICM/Script Editor

  • Microsoft SQL Server version 6.5

  • Administration Workstation (AW) processes

Components Used

The information in this document is based on the software and hardware versions below.

  • Cisco ICM releases 4.6.2 and later

  • Microsoft SQL Server version 6.5

The information presented in this document was created from devices in a specific lab environment. All of the devices used in this document started with a cleared (default) configuration. If you are working in a live network, ensure that you understand the potential impact of any command before using it.

Problem

The Microsoft SQL error message can clearly be seen in the error logs normally located in c:\MSSQL\log , as shown in this example. These two errors indicate there is a potential problem and corrective steps should be taken to resolve the problem.

Solution

After some research, the problem is solely a Microsoft SQL Server 6.5 related issue. Microsoft provides a patch that may repair the problem, but is not guaranteed to remove all instances of the error. Microsoft Knowledge Base Article Q236447, FIX: ODS Errors During Attention Signal May Cause SQL Server to Stop Responding leavingcisco.com provides information about the patch.

Microsoft has corrected the error in Microsoft SQL Server 7.0. However, in order to use Microsoft SQL Server 7.0, you must be running Cisco ICM 4.5 or later.
