Use of the net Command

The two most common options for this command are net start and net stop. These options start and stop Windows NT services. This example issues net start in order to determine which Windows NT services run and net stop in order to stop the pcAnywhere service.

Note: Notice the open quotation marks on pcanywhere in the command syntax. Open quotation marks are necessary if the service contains more than one word.
