Follow these guidelines to resolve load error messages within initialization.

Load Error Messages

Symptom

External router fails initialization with the message:

Read error on file:  ** L2L.BIN  **

Solution

User must run NetWare 2.15"C" or later; specifically, the file BRIDGE.OBJ on the diskette BRGEN-2 must be dated 08-07-89 or later. The file is available on NetWire.

Symptom

Internal or external router fails within initialization with the message:

 Unable to OPEN file: ** L2L.BIN **

Solution

The file L2L.BIN must be loaded into the SYS:SYSTEM directory.

  • For Version 2.1x internal routers, the L2L.BIN file must be copied onto the SYSTEM diskette.

  • For Version 2.2 internal routers, the L2L.BIN file must be copied onto the DOSUTIL-1\SYSTEM diskette.

  • For Version 2.1x external routers, the L2L.BIN file must be on the same diskette as the file BRIDGE.EXE.

  • For Version 2.2 external routers, the L2L.BIN file must be on the same diskette as the file ROUTER.EXE.
