Conflicts

The SMC (Western Digital) Elite 16 Ethernet card uses 32 consecutive port address, with the default set to start at 240. The Elite 16 default then uses port addresses 240-25F hex. The LAN²LAN default setting is port address 258H, which uses port address 258-25F hex. This causes both cards to be loaded using ports 258-25F.

In order to eliminate this conflict, reconfigure either the Elite 16 or the LAN²LAN so the port ranges do not overlap; that is, reconfigure to a value other than the default.
