Verifying VISM Card Memory Size

Complete these steps in order to verify the VISM card memory size:

  1. Log in to the MGX switch with username cisco.

  2. Issue the cc command in order to access the slot in which the VISM card is located.

  3. Start a ShellConn session to verify the memory size:

    g9-3-m1.1.14.VISM8.a > shellConn
    g9-3-m1.1.14.VISM8.a > d 0xbfa00000,1,1
    d 0xbfa00000,1,1
    bfa00000:  fa
    !--- The letters "fa" indicate the memory is 64 MB.
      *................*

    !--- The letters "fb" indicate the memory is 32 MB.

    value = 21 = 0x15
    g9-3-m1.1.14.VISM8.a >
  4. End the ShellConn session.
