Introduction
CompatiView 5.x only works with the IntraGuard once the firewall paths and global bridging are established. The CompatiView default values disable the IntraGuard if these sections are not present in the configuration and are not specifically set up in the first CompatiView session.

CompatiView

IntraGuard
Affected Versions
CompatiView versions earlier than 5.5
More Information
Do not use CompatiView with the IntraGuard until you make these Telnet changes. What happens is that if CompatiView does not see these sections in the configuration, it disables the IntraGuard when you try to save any changes using CompatiView.
So Telnet into the IntraGuard and follow along (remember the default address of the IntraGuard is 198.41.12.1 and you want to plug into Ethernet 0):
"enable" "letmein" Unless you've already changed the password "config ip bridge 0" "y" Yes you do want to use the default path configurations "y" Yes you do want to add this section to the config "mode=routed" "ripversion=none" "config bridging global" "y" "mode=ieee" "save" "y"
Now you can safely CompatiView into the IntraGuard and make further changes.
