On February 1, 2001, the eight-port Fast Ethernet line cards with part numbers 8FE-FX-SC(=) and 8FE-TX-RJ45(=) will no longer be offered by Cisco Systems. These products are being superseded by the 8FE-FX-SC-B(=) and 8FE-TX-RJ45-B(=) part numbers, which have identical functionality. The 8FE-FX-SC-B(=) and 8FE-TX-RJ45-B(=) versions of the eight-port Fast Ethernet line cards are orderable now. The new part numbers have Error-Correcting Code (ECC); the memory options will be the same as those of the original part numbers. The new eight-port Fast Ethernet line cards require a minimum Cisco IOS^® version of 12.0(10)S or higher or 11.2(19)GS4 or higher. List price for the replacement line cards is $31,000 (U.S.) for 8FE-FX-SC-B(=) and $29,500 (U.S.) for 8FE-TX-RJ45-B(=).

This product will no longer be orderable after February 1, 2001. All last-time-buy orders by customers must be received on or before this date.

End-of-Contract Renewals

Service contracts on these products will not be renewed after October 31, 2004.

End of Support

These products will no longer be supported by Cisco after December 1, 2005.
