First Version of Cisco 12000 Series Ten-Port Gigabit Ethernet Line Card End-of-Life Announcement
Cisco Systems is announcing the end of life (EOL) for the first version of the Cisco 12000 Series Ten-Port Gigabit Ethernet Line Card with the part number 10x1GE-SFP-LC(=) because it does not support output access control lists (ACLs) or output committed access rates (CARs).
The new Cisco 12000 Series Ten-Port Gigabit Ethernet Line Card supports all the same functionality found in the first version, plus adds support for output ACLs and CAR. It is identified by the part number 10x1GE-SFP-LC-B(=). New Cisco IOS® Software releases are required for the new version of the line card, specifically:

Cisco IOS Software Release 12.0(21)S or higher
•
Cisco IOS Software Release 12.0(21)ST or higher
