The Cisco Catalyst 3750G Integrated Wireless LAN Controller delivers centralized security policies, wireless intrusion prevention system (IPS) capabilities, award-winning RF management, Quality of Service (QoS), and Layer 3 fast secure roaming for WLANs. As a core component of the Cisco Unified Wireless Network, the Cisco Catalyst 3750G Integrated Wireless LAN Controller provides the control, security, redundancy, and reliability that network managers need to scale and manage their wireless networks as easily as they scale and manage their traditional wired networks.
The Cisco Catalyst 3750G Integrated Wireless LAN Controller is a member of the Cisco Wireless LAN Controller family. It works in conjunction with Cisco Aironet® lightweight access points, the Cisco Wireless Control System (WCS), and the Cisco Unified Wireless Network to support mission-critical wireless data, voice, and video applications. It provides real-time communication between lightweight access points and other wireless LAN controllers to deliver a secure and unified wireless solution.
MIGRATION PATH FOR CISCO IOS SOFTWARE RELEASE 12.2(25)FZ
Figure 1 shows the migration path for Cisco IOS Software Release 12.2(25)FZ.
All software updates are free, except that customers must purchase the IP Services software upgrade kit when upgrading a switch from IP Base software to IP Services software. Downloads of IP Base and IP Services files will be monitored for adherence to this authorization.
Note: For the Catalyst 3750G series switches, the image that provides Layer 2+ features and basic Layer 3 routing is called IP Base. The image that provides full Layer 3 routing and advanced services is referred to as the IP Services image.
Because of export restrictions on strong cryptography software, a separate image is required for the cryptographic features (Secure Shell [SSH] Protocol, Simple Network Management Protocol Version 3 [SNMPv3], and Kerberos Protocol). These software images can be downloaded from the corresponding Triple Data Encryption Standard (3DES) area of the preceding links.
