This document describes an issue that can occur when a Dialogic, Inc. PIMG/TIMG unit is used as a PBX integration device in a Cisco Unity Connection configuration.
An integration device is required in order to provide a high quality connection between a legacy analog or digital PBX and the Cisco Unity Server. Based on the support provided by the PBX, such an integration requires either a PBX IP Media Gateway (PIMG) or a T1 IP Media Gateway (TIMG). Both products use SIP for communications between the PIMG/TIMG unit and the Cisco Unity Server.
A VwSsHeap Exhausted alarm can originate on the PIMG/TIMG unit that can prevent any further call completion to occur until the problem is resolved.
