The Cisco AS5850 Universal/Voice Gateway is a high-density, carrier-class gateway, offering unparalleled capacity and high availability. The Cisco AS5850 Universal/Voice Gateway is specifically designed to meet the demands of large, innovative service providers and can support up to five channelized T3s (CT3s), 96 T1s, or 86 E1s of data, voice, and fax services on any port at any time. The Cisco AS5850 Universal/Voice Gateway offers high-availability features such as hot-swap on all cards, load-sharing and redundant hot-swappable power supplies, redundant route-processing cards (RPCs) and Call-Admission Control (CAC) to ensure 99.999 percent availability.
The Cisco AS5800 Universal Gateway supports a wide range of IP-based, value-added services -- including high-volume Internet access, corporate VPNs, long distance for Internet service providers (ISPs), international wholesale long distance, distributed prepaid calling, Signaling System 7 (SS7) interconnect, and managed voice services such as hosted IP telephony, managed IP-PBX, multiservice VPNs, and IP contact centers. Cisco AS5800 series software includes the Cisco Universal Gateway Manager (Cisco UGM), which provides a means to configure and manage fault, performance, and security of the Cisco AS5350, AS5400, AS5800, and AS5850 devices in your network.
