SCCP Compatibility Matrix: Cisco Unity, the Cisco Unity-CM TSP, Cisco Unified Communications Manager, and Cisco Unified Communications Manager Express
Revised January 4, 2013
This document lists the supported version combinations for Cisco Unity, the Cisco Unity-CM TSP, and Cisco Unified Communications Manager, and for Cisco Unity, the Cisco Unity-CM TSP, and Cisco Unified Communications Manager Express. It contains the following sections:
Note The Cisco Unity-CM TSP is required when Cisco Unity is integrated with Cisco Unified CM or Cisco Unified CM Express by Skinny Call Control Protocol (SCCP).
Cisco Unified CM support patch (sp) releases are not listed in the tables below unless they affect compatibility with Cisco Unity or the Cisco Unity-CM TSP. If not listed, a support patch has the same compatibility as the base release. In addition, rereleased versions—for example, 3.x(xa) rereleased as 3.x(xb)—are assumed to have the same compatibility unless noted.
Cisco Unity service releases (SR) are not listed in the tables below unless they affect compatibility with Cisco Unified CM, Cisco Unified CM Express, or the Cisco Unity-CM TSP. If not listed, a service release has the same compatibility as the base release.

Footnotes for Table 2—Cisco Unity, Cisco Unity-CM TSP, and Cisco Unified Communications Manager Express
1. Integrations with Cisco Unity and Cisco Unified CM Express 3.4 are supported only when Cisco Unified CM Express 3.4 is installed on IOS 12.4(6)T1 or later.
Version Support Policy for Cisco Unity Integrations with Cisco Unified Communications Manager and Cisco Unified Communications Manager Express Through SCCP
Several supported versions of Cisco Unity, the Cisco Unity-CM TSP, Cisco Unified CM, and Cisco Unified CM Express are available to customers. In order to reduce complexity and development effort, not all combinations of the versions are supported.
This policy defines the combinations of Cisco Unity, Cisco Unity-CM TSP, Cisco Unified CM, and Cisco Unified CM Express that are supported when Cisco Unity communicates with the phone system through Skinny Client Control Protocol (SCCP).
Supported combinations are determined by using the criteria in the following sections, but there may be additional restrictions if certain combinations cannot be supported for technical reasons:
A new release of Cisco Unity will support the current release of the Cisco Unity-CM TSP plus all future releases of the Cisco Unity-CM TSP.
A new release of Cisco Unity is not supported for use with earlier releases of the Cisco Unity-CM TSP.
A new release of the Cisco Unity-CM TSP is supported for use with all earlier releases of Cisco Unity (assuming these releases are not End of SW Maintenance).
A new release of Cisco Unified CM or Cisco Unified CM Express will support the current release of the Cisco Unity-CM TSP.
A new release of Cisco Unified CM or Cisco Unified CM Express is not supported for use with earlier releases of the Cisco Unity-CM TSP.
