The CCIE BYOD (Bring Your Own Devices) mobile lab exams allow CCIE lab exam candidates to take the exam on their own equipment at designated mobile exam test centers close to home. A CCIE BYOD lab exam candidate can bring his/her own laptop, monitor, keyboard, mouse, and other computer peripherals on test day and use them to take the lab exam.

You can register for a CCIE BYOD lab exam using the CCIE scheduler.

No. In fact, a BYOD mobile lab costs the same as a brick & mortar lab. The Cisco kit mobile lab has a slightly higher fee.

Yes, BYOD mobile labs uphold the same exam security standard as the brick & mortar and the Cisco kit mobile labs.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, travel to traditional CCIE lab centers became a challenge for certification seekers. The BYOD mobile lab model allows you to pursue your certification goals by enabling you to take the CCIE lab exam closer to home.

You are expected to arrive 30 minutes before the lab start time to set up and test your exam devices.

No; Apple MacBook is not supported. You must make sure that that your laptop passes the hardware compatibility test and the USB bootup process before you register for the BYOD lab exam.

While a lab proctor will be available to assist, you are responsible for setting up your environment on the day of your exam. Before you register for the BYOD lab exam, you must test your device compatibility and only register if your devices passed the device compatibility test. If the environment cannot be set up, or the lab proctor suspects the devices might have been tampered with, you will not be allowed to start the exam. Cisco® will not be responsible for providing any compensation, refunds, or expenses incurred.

Yes, you can bring a USB hub if needed.

No, Cisco will provide you with a secured bootable USB at exam site to take the exam.
