VaynerX Builds the Wireless Foundation for Modern Work

Cisco & VaynerX Power a Mobile, Always-On Employee Experience with Intelligent Wireless

Global Expansion Accelerated the Need for a More Resilient Network

As VaynerX expanded globally, employees moving between desks, meeting rooms, and collaboration spaces began to experience inconsistent network performance, creating friction in day-to-day creative work.

VaynerX

VaynerX is a full-service global agency that helps brands navigate the digital landscape through social media, content, media, and influencer marketing, serving clients worldwide.

Challenges

As VaynerX scaled globally, the way teams worked, laptop-first and highly collaborative, began to outpace the capabilities of its existing network. Maintaining consistent performance, reliability, and security across offices became increasingly complex, creating challenges that included:

  • Inconsistent network performance across offices disrupted collaboration as employees moved between desks, conference rooms, and locations.
  • With rapid expansion, VaynerX wanted a consistent standardized networking experience for employees worldwide.
  • Legacy network complexity increased operational overhead and made management more difficult without specialized expertise.
  • Growing reliance on cloud tools and video collaboration placed additional strain on network reliability and performance.

Solutions

To support its global growth and mobile workforce, VaynerX standardized on a cloud-managed networking approach designed for simplicity, scalability, and consistency. This enabled centralized visibility, reliable performance, and secure connectivity across offices, including:

  • The Meraki dashboard allows for simple management and monitoring of the network with an intuitive and interactive web interface.
  • Cisco wireless access points leverage Wi-Fi 7–ready capabilities and the 6 GHz band to deliver secure, high-performance connectivity.
  • Meraki MS switches deliver continuous network performance.
  • Meraki MX SD-WAN and security appliances provide advanced, integrated cyber protections and a foundation for secure, scalable connectivity.

Outcomes

Consistent global connectivity

The network now delivers higher capacity, lower latency, and consistent performance across offices, supporting uninterrupted connectivity as teams move between workspaces.

Improved employee experience

Faster, more dependable connectivity reduced friction, increased office attendance, and supported higher levels of collaboration and productivity.

Simplified network operations

Centralized visibility and management reduced complexity, allowing teams to operate efficiently without specialized networking expertise.

Stronger security confidence

The organization gained confidence in protecting sensitive information while supporting cloud-based tools and global collaboration.

A Culture of Constant Motion

From the outset, VaynerX has never operated like a traditional company—and that reality shapes everything about how the organization works. Founded by Gary Vaynerchuk, VaynerX is a full-service global creative and media agency built for the modern digital landscape.

The company specializes in social media, digital marketing, content creation, influencer marketing, media planning and buying, and strategic consulting, helping brands connect with consumers through compelling storytelling across platforms. Today, the company employs nearly 2,000 employees worldwide.

But scale alone doesn’t define the organization. What truly sets it apart is its culture of constant motion. "We're not a traditional company where everybody sits at their desk nine to five,” says John Georgatos, Global Chief Information Officer at VaynerX.

Employees regularly shift between desks, conference rooms, studios, and shared collaboration spaces, often multiple times a day. As a result, VaynerX operates as a wireless-first environment, where high-performance wireless connectivity is essential to productivity.

“They should be able to move from one place to the next and have a consistent, good, solid network connection,” Georgatos says. For a creative agency built on speed, real-time collaboration, and video-heavy workflows, wireless performance isn’t a convenience, it’s foundational.

When Growth Outpaced Wireless Performance

Before modernizing its infrastructure, VaynerX’s network met current needs, but was not built to support the demands of continued growth. As the organization expanded globally, the existing infrastructure was not optimized for dense, collaboration-heavy environments.

"As our company grew and scaled, there were certainly opportunities for improvement,” says John Maalouf, Senior Vice President of Global Procurement. Those opportunities became most visible in wireless performance.

Simple transitions, such as moving from a desk to a conference room could introduce latency, dropped connections, or brief disruptions. In an environment where teams collaborate constantly, rely heavily on video conferencing, and increasingly use AI-driven tools to create and move faster, even small delays created friction.

Leadership recognized that maintaining the status quo would limit productivity and slow the company’s ability to scale. “We needed to make smarter investments, invest in areas where we could see ROI almost immediately,” Georgatos says. The challenge wasn’t simply upgrading hardware. VaynerX needed a wireless-first network that could deliver higher capacity, lower latency, consistent roaming performance, and centralized visibility across dozens of offices worldwide.

Standardizing Global Connectivity and Collaboration

That search led VaynerX to Cisco, which now serves as the foundation of its global networking strategy. “Cisco Meraki for years has been the gold standard,” Georgatos says. “I’ve worked with them on many projects, and they always deliver.”

Meraki wireless access points were deployed first in flagship locations such as New York and Amsterdam, followed by Miami, London, and Los Angeles. Rollouts continue across Singapore, Australia, and Canada, all built on a standardized, wireless-first design.

“Cisco Meraki allowed us to integrate seamlessly across all different offices,” says Maalouf. "Whether you’re working in New York or traveling to London or Singapore, you experience the same level of wireless speed, reliability, and performance. "

Equally important was operational simplicity. Meraki’s cloud-managed platform provides centralized visibility into performance and application usage, without requiring specialized network teams in every region. “The dashboard is intuitive, and everything is easier to manage,” Georgatos explains.

This reliability is inseparable from video performance. With higher wireless capacity and reduced latency, the upgraded network now supports uninterrupted video collaboration and real-time content review across shared spaces, eliminating a major friction point in day-to-day work.

Measurable Outcomes: Performance, Efficiency, and Scale

The impact of the wireless-first transformation was both immediate and measurable, providing the agency with a more resilient and cost-effective infrastructure:

  • Higher performance and reliability: Increased wireless capacity and reduced latency now support dense, collaboration-heavy environments across global offices.
  • Operational efficiency: Centralized cloud management reduced troubleshooting and incident response time by more than 40%, allowing IT teams to focus on strategic initiatives.
  • Faster expansion: New office deployments that once took months can now be completed in weeks, accelerating time to productivity in new markets.
  • Lower cost and complexity: Standardization reduced infrastructure and support costs by approximately 25–30% year over year, while lowering reliance on on-premise systems.
  • Stronger security posture: Cloud-managed controls improved visibility, reduced configuration drift, and strengthened protection for cloud-based workflows.

A Wireless Foundation for What Comes Next

Today, VaynerX’s network is no longer a limiting factor, it’s a strategic advantage. Employees experience consistent, high-performance wireless connectivity across offices, enabling collaboration without interruption.

IT teams benefit from centralized visibility, simplified operations, and faster ROI. “The biggest change is the lack of complaints from employees about slow network speeds,” says Marc Yudkin, Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel at VaynerX. “Employees are happier coming to work. Attendance is up, and productivity has increased.”

Looking ahead, the strategy is set. “We’re going to continue to grow as a company,” Georgatos says. “And we’re going to keep using Cisco Meraki to build that standardized wireless ecosystem.”

With a future-ready wireless foundation in place, VaynerX is positioned to scale confidently supporting creativity, collaboration, and constant motion across its global footprint.
