Viewing CPU Power Configuration

Procedure

Step 1

From the Navigation Pane, select Resource Management > Power.

Step 2

Select the CPU tab.

Step 3

You can view the following properties:

Name

Description

Name column

Identifies the component or device.

Power Consumption column

Displays the current power usage.

Power Cap column

Indicates the maximum power limit set for the component.

Cap Minimum column

Shows the minimum allowable power limit

Cap Maximum column

Displays the maximum allowable power limit.

Applying CPU Power Cap

Procedure

Step 1

From the Navigation Pane, select Resource Management > Power.

Step 2

Select the CPU tab.

Step 3

Check the Apply power cap check box to activate power capping options.

Step 4

Under Power cap value (in watts), enter the desired power cap value in watts.

Ensure the value is between the minimum and maximum cap limits.

Step 5

Click Save to apply the power cap settings.
