In the previous module you learned how Attach Rate is used to measure performance. Attach Rate is also used to generate new service sales opportunities. Attach Rate (AR) is the rate at which you are able to attach services at the time of hardware sale. AR is also used when referring to uncovered equipment—when you discover hardware that has already been sold but has not had service sold with it.
You also learned about Renewal Rate in the previous module. The Renewal Rate is the rate at which you are able to renew existing services.
Multi-Year is when you are able to sell a service contract that spans multiple years, generally three years. Multi-year service contracts significantly improve your profitability, ROI, and value.
Attach Rate, Renewal Rate, and Multi-Year are key metrics that drive the effects of the services compounding example presented at the beginning of this course. More will be discussed about this topic later in this module.
