General InformationAll Cisco products are assigned Export Control Classification Numbers (ECCN). Products with encryption are further distinguished by the use of an encryption note that Cisco uses to drive the rules for stocking products. For a complete list of Cisco products and encryption notes, please use the Public Export Product Data tool. Cisco manufactures strongly encrypted products that fall into two different U.S. Bureau of Industry and Security classifications. While the ECCN may be the same, the encryption note is the factor that determines the regulatory treatment by Cisco.
