SCC for Indirect Resellers and Distributors, formally known as SMS3, provides users a streamlined and globally consistent method to order, manage and register new and renewal service contracts. Users can also access key contract information thus enabling them to respond quickly and easily to expiring contracts.

SMS3 Pricing Function Issues

We are pleased to report that the pricing function issues were resolved during the standard downtime window on Sunday, June 21. Please read the communication for more information or contact Service Support Center for assistance.

Tool Availability

Cisco Service Contract Center has a regular weekly maintenance window from midnight Saturday to 4 a.m. Sunday PT. You may resume the use of the tool after this time. Thank you for your patience.

As part of the weekly maintenance window, each Sunday, from 4:00 to 6:00 am PT, some functions will be unavailable:

  • New Address creation: users will not be able to perform any functions that require new address creation
  • Ordering a quote where the Bill-to ID and Site ID are not the same: users will not be able to order a quote where the business entity of the Bill-to ID and Site ID are not the same.
  • Address Search without a Site ID: users who do not have a Site ID will not be able to search to create a quote.

Attention former users of SCC for Direct Partners (1-Tiers)

The Service Contract Center (SCC) tool has been permanently decommissioned as of midnight PDT on May 30, 2009. From that date on, there will be no more access to the SCC application or to read-only application data which has been available since the tool was retired in February. If you need a copy of a historical quote after this date, you may open a support case. Going forward, please use Cisco Service Contract Center for all quoting, ordering and service contract management requirements. Thank you.

Cisco is pleased to announce the June 7, 2009 Release for SMS3.

This release demonstrates a continuing commitment to increase your ease of use of SMS3. Learn more about the updates for resellers and distributors.

In order to realize the full benefits of the SMS3 June 7 release you should reset some of your Internet Options. Please follow these specific steps.

New Service Support Center Landing Page

On June 15, 2009, the Service Support Center released a new version of the landing page. This new landing page will improve the user experience by providing immediate visibility to the most current support issues, alerts and downtime information.
