Problem Description
The Cisco Communications Media Module will not boot or come online properly when plugged into a chassis with either of the Cisco Supervisor Engines 720-3B or 720-3BXL. The Supervisor Engine 720-3BXL causes the CMM to power down and disables all functionality. This issue only affects the 720-3B and 720-3BXL Supervisor Engines.
Problem Symptoms
The Cisco Communications Media Module will not boot or come online properly when plugged into a chassis with the Cisco Supervisor Engines 720-3B or 720-3BXL. The following errors are encountered:
%JAGGER-4-FABRICSYNCERRS: 65 Fabric sync error %JAGGER-4-FABRICSYNCERRS: 68 Fabric sync error %JAGGER-4-FABRICSYNCERRS: 66 Fabric sync error
The Supervisor Engine will eventually power down the Communications Media Module due to the errors.
Workaround/Solution
No workaround is available at this time. The Cisco Communications Media Module does not operate with the Cisco Supervisor Engines 720-3B or 720-3BXL. Official support for the Cisco Supervisor Engines will be available in Cisco IOS release 12.3(8)XY2 for the Communications Media Module.
