Introduction

This document provides a sample configuration for Serial Tunnel (STUN) Virtual Multipoint. This document also provides the relevant states in the show stun command output and the state changes in the debug stun event/packet command output.

The first line of the output provides the INOP state at the front- end processor (FEP) side, and displays the STUN state in each router. STUN peers are in a closed state. You cannot see any transmitted (tx_pkts) and received packets (rx_pkts), which is normal. After you activate the line and Physical Units (PUs) on the FEP side for the controllers, you begin to see that rx and tx packet counters increment. This shows that the STUN connection for both controllers is active.

This section provides information you can use to confirm that your configuration works properly.

Certain show commands are supported by the Output Interpreter Tool ( registered customers only) , which allows you to view an analysis of show command output.

Note: Before you issue debug commands, refer to Important Information on Debug Commands.
