Viewing Status, Statistics, Model and Firmware Information on the Cisco Unified IP Phone
On a Cisco Unified IP Phone or from a phone web page, you can obtain network and status information, and verify the phone model and installed firmware version.
This chapter describes how to obtain such information from menus available on the Cisco Unified IP Phone 7905G and 7912G.

Viewing Model Information and Serial Number
You can verify the model and serial number of Cisco Unified IP Phone 7905G and 7912G by viewing the Model Information screen.
Procedure
Step 1 Press the Menu button.
Step 2 Choose Settings > Model Information.
Step 3 Use the Navigation button to display the information in the Model Information screen.
Table 6-1 describes the information that appears in this screen.
To exit the Model Information screen, press the Exit softkey.

Viewing Status Messages
Use status messages on the Cisco Unified IP Phone 7905G and 7912G to diagnose network configuration problems. You can access these messages at any point, even if the phone has not finished starting up.
Procedure
Step 1 Press the Menu button.
Step 2 Choose Settings > Status > Status Messages.
The phone displays the name of the configuration file in the following format:
SEPDefault.cnf.xml or SEPmacaddress
To exit the Status screen, press the Exit softkey.

Viewing Network Statistics
The Network Statistics screen on the Cisco Unified IP Phone 7905G and 7912G provides information about the phone and network performance.
Procedure
Step 1 Press the Menu button
Step 2 Choose Settings > Status > Network Statistics.
Step 3 Use the Navigation button to display the information in the Network Statistics screen.
Table 6-2 describes the items that appear in this screen.
To reset the Rcv, Xmt, REr, and BCasts statistics to 0, press the Clear softkey.
To exit the Network Statistics screen, press the Exit softkey.

Viewing Firmware Version
You can verify the firmware version for the Cisco Unified IP Phone 7905G and 7912G by viewing the Firmware Versions screen.
Procedure
Step 1 Press the Menu button.
Step 2 Choose Settings > Status> Firmware Versions.
The following information appears:
•App Load ID
•Boot Load ID
•Version
To exit the Firmware Versions screen, press the Exit softkey.
