What’s happening
Prior to March 2020, the Meraki MX security appliances deployed in branch settings and the Z-series teleworker devices were growing at similar rates. However, with the onset of the pandemic, remote offices outpaced branch offices in network deployments.
The impact
As businesses shifted to work-from-home, there was a need to equip these workers with enterprise-grade connectivity and security. After a steep increase in March 2020, the Z-series has continued to grow at an accelerated rate of 1.6X, showing a sustained trend of working from home and other off-site locations.
