Monitored Applications

What’s happening

Collaboration applications continue to be the focus for enterprises monitoring hybrid environment. The number of tests run for collaboration applications showed a net increase of 3652% between January 2020 and October 2021. Productivity applications continued to be prominent, initially recording a slight drop but overall, there was a net 40% increase in tests. Secure access applications monitoring initially saw an increase followed by a realignment, ultimately, resulting in a net 8% increase. Overall, there was an increase in active tests for applications the enterprises considered critical for the hybrid worker, to assist with providing digital equity for their hybrid workforce.

The impact

In the hybrid work model, making sure that the workers’ experience of digital services and SaaS applications remains intact has become a challenge for IT, considering the variation in the digital path workers take into their employer’s system and across cloud and Internet networks. These changes do not mean that monitoring of other types of applications diminished over this period, but rather overall monitoring of digital experiences increased – with focus on specific categories.

What you can do

Ensure workers enjoy consistent collaboration and productivity application performance by monitoring the end-to-end digital experience from every worker across cloud and Internet networks. Maintain the best possible experiences for other critical applications and secure access infrastructure and services via real-time monitoring and proactive problem resolution.
