Viewing Temperature Sensors

Procedure


Step 1

From the Apps drop-down list, select System.

Step 2

Select the Sensors tab.

Step 3

From the Navigation pane, select Temperature.

Step 4

Review the following properties:

Name Description

Name field

The name of the temperature sensor.

Status

The working status of the temperature sensor.

Temperature field

The current temperature, in Celsius/Fahrenheit.

Critical Threshold Min field

The minimum critical threshold.

Critical Threshold Max field

The maximum critical threshold.

Non-Recoverable Threshold Min field

The minimum non-recoverable threshold.

Non-Recoverable Threshold Max field

The maximum non-recoverable threshold.


Viewing LED Sensors

Procedure


Step 1

From the Apps drop-down list, select System.

Step 2

Select the Sensors tab.

Step 3

From the Navigation pane, select LEDs.

Step 4

Review the following properties:

Name Description

Name column

The name of the sensor.

Status column

Whether the LED is on, blinking, or off.

Color column

The current color of the LED.

Viewing Storage Sensors

Procedure


Step 1

From the Apps drop-down list, select System.

Step 2

Select the Sensors tab.

Step 3

From the Navigation pane, select Storage.

Step 4

Review the following properties:

Name Description

Name field

The name of the storage device.

Status field

A brief description of the storage device status.

LED Status field

The current LED color, if any.

To make the physical LED on the storage device blink, select Turn On from the drop-down list.

To let the storage device control whether the LED blinks, select Turn Off.

Viewing Power Supply Sensors

Procedure


Step 1

From the Apps drop-down list, select System.

Step 2

Select the Sensors tab.

Step 3

From the Navigation pane, select Power Supply.

Step 4

Review the following sensor properties for the power supply:

Name Description

Name field

The name of the power supply device.

Type field

The type of the power supply device.

Status

The working status of the power supply device.

Reading field

The current power usage, in watts.

Critical Threshold Min field

The minimum critical threshold.

Critical Threshold Max field

The maximum critical threshold.

Non-Recoverable Threshold Min field

The minimum non-recoverable threshold.

Non-Recoverable Threshold Max field

The maximum non-recoverable threshold.


Viewing Fan Sensors

Procedure


Step 1

From the Apps drop-down list, select System.

Step 2

Select the Sensors tab.

Step 3

From the Navigation pane, select Fan.

Step 4

Review the following sensor properties for the fan:

Name Description

Name field

The name of the fan.

Status

The working status of the fan.

Reading field

The current power usage, in watts.

Non-Recoverable Threshold Min field

The minimum non-recoverable threshold.

PWM (%)

The Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) is the absolute measure of the fan on and off duration to control the speed.

The ratio of on time compared to off time is known as Duty cycle.

Non-Recoverable Threshold Max field

The maximum non-recoverable threshold.
