Cisco Smart PHY and Cisco Operations Hub 25.1.1 is a maintenance release and contains no new features.

Feature Description

Updated password criteria for the deployer, the cluster, and the operation centers

  • Password must be at least 8 characters long.

  • Password must have at least one lowercase letter, one uppercase letter, and one number.

  • Password must have at least one of these special characters:

    ['~', '@', '#', '%', '^', '&', '*', '(', ')', '_', '+', '`', '-', '=', '{', '}', '[', ']', ':', '"', ';', "'", '|', '\', '<', '>', '?', ',', '.', '/', '$', '!']

  • If the password contains a forbidden word [admin, password, root, user, guest, administrator, test], then at least three numbers and two special characters are required in the password.

  • If the password contains a dictionary word, then it must include at least three numbers and at least one special character.

New Features for Cisco Smart PHY and Cisco Operations Hub 25.1

Feature Description

KOBOL US Scaling Support

With this release, Smart PHY supports KOBOL US scaling features on the Gen2 (KOBOL) linecard including

  • increasing max OFDMA blocks per Gen2 LC from 32 to 64.

  • increasing max ATDMA channels per Gen2 LC from 256 to 512.

Video Static Pseudo-wires for Broadcast

With this release Smart PHY supports the configuration that is required for the cBR-8 feature - Video static pseudo-wires for Broadcast. This feature:

  • enables a more manageable broadcast maintenance environment by reducing the number of cBR-8 devices that are needed for broadcast video traffic.

  • improves the overall efficiency, scalability, and manageability of the video core setup

  • enables effective utilization of the same multicast video content by streamlining the broadcast video traffic processing.
