These notes summarize the new features and enhancements for Cisco NX-OS Release 5.2(1) for Cisco MDS 9000 Series Switches.

New Features and Enhancements

• Storage Media Encryption (SME) Disk - Adds the ability to encrypt the data contained in a disk. SME Disk is similar to the existing SME infrastructure that supports the SME tape.SME disk is supported on the 16-Port Storage Services Node(SSN-16) Module, 18/4 Multiservice Module (MSM -18/4), and the 9222i switch.
• Disk Key Replication (DKR) - Supports key replication and mirror. When a disk key replication relationship is synchronized, both the state and the active crypto key of the source disk are replicated to the destination disk.All SME key modification operations for disks using DKR must be done through DCNM-SAN.
• Call Home HTTP Proxy Server Support - Adds the ability to send HTTP messages through the HTTP proxy server while configuring Smart Call Home.
