Problem Description
An 8xDMT card that is installed into a digital subscriber line(DSL) access multiplexer (DSLAM) chassis causes the error IDPROM FIELD FORMAT ERROR, index 0x5c to occur in the output of show hardware slot xx. This is a cosmetic error.
Background
From the ATUC-8-DMT-1's PCAMAP, Rev.J0 and the ATUC-8-DMT-I-1, Rev.E0, the electically erasable programmable read only memory (EEPROM) location 0x5E and 0x5F should be programmed as FF.
Both cards have 00 values programmed in these locations instead of FF - resulting in a cosmetic error displayed.

How To Identify Hardware Levels
Example: show hardware slot xx DSLAM#sh ha slot 26 Hardware Revision : 4.0 Top Assy. Part Number : 800-06778-03 Board Revision : J0 Deviation Number : 0-0 Fab Version : 04 PCB Serial Number : SAL0733K2FM RMA Test History : 00 RMA Number : 0-0-0-0 RMA History : 00 CLEI Code : DML2GA0AAA
Other Considerations
Older versions of ATUC-8-DMT-1 and ATUC-8-DMT-I-1 have values of 09 00 at locations 0x5E and 0x5F. This value however will not result in this cosmetic error displayed, as 09 00 is also a valid IDPROM Type field.
For ATUC-8-DMT-I-1, Rev.E0 EEPROM has been corrected in August - any E0 board shipped after August 21 will have the correct EEPROM.
For ATUC-8-DMT-1, Rev.J0 EEPROM has been corrected in August - any J0 board shipped after August 21 will have the correct EEPROM.
