Problem Description
The Cisco 6100 trained downstream rate is less than earlier releases in the range of 11000 ft. to 15000 ft. when provisioned with zero dB downstream margin. Cisco 6100 release 2.3.1 corrects this problem.
Background
Internal testing concluded that performance capabilities could be increased with a software modification. Release 2.3.1 increases throughput performance for customers in the 11-16Kft range.
This defect has Cisco bug ID CSCdm31593 (registered customers only) .
Problem Symptoms
Downstream training rates achieved in the range of 11000ft to 16000ft were less than optimal with the tables used in release 2.3.0.

Workaround/Solution
Upgrade to Cisco 6100 release 2.3.1 from the Access Products Software Center (registered customers only) . From this page, select the '6100 Series' to find the latest version.
