Formerly Linksys Business Series, now Cisco Small Business Smart Switches, the Cisco SLM248P Gigabit Smart Switch offers the features of a fully-functional, managed switch without the added complexity. The abundant quality-of-service (QoS) and security functions are bundled around an easy-to-operate, intuitive web interface that allows easy expansion.

The SLM248P supports up to 48 connected devices with a maximum speed of 200 Mbps per port. Its included traffic management functionality maintains a top-quality user experience when running high-bandwidth applications like video teleconferencing or Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) communications.

Additional features of the Cisco SLM248P Gigabit Smart Switch include:

• Power over Ethernet (PoE) support for 7.5W on 24 ports or 15.4W on 11 ports
• A non-blocking switching capacity of 13.6 Gbps
• Port-level security using 802.1x authentication and MAC-based filtering
