Catalyst 3000 100VG AnyLAN Modules

Cisco's Catalyst 3000 family 100VG modules provide flexibility, performance, and manageability in cost- effective packages. These modules are available in fiber (ST connectors) and unshielded twisted-pair (UTP RJ-45 connectors) versions.

The Catalyst 3000 family supports a broad offering of network connection options, including 10-Mbps Ethernet, 155-Mbps ATM, and 100-Mbps Fast Ethernet. With the installation of a 100VG module in any member of the Catalyst 3000 switch family, 100VG-AnyLAN servers, workgroups, or hubs can be integrated easily with other Ethernet, Fast Ethernet and ATM devices.

All 100VG modules provide wire-speed performance for network connection of 100VG servers, workstations, and 100VG hubs. Both the UTP and fiber versions of the 100VG module offer superior performance in forwarding, buffering, and per-port addresses to meet the needs of demanding network applications.
