BPX-ASI Card End of Life Announcement
Overview
Cisco Systems Multiservice Switching Business Unit (MSSBU) announce the end of life (EOL) for the following BPX® 8600 ATM Service Interface (ASI) cards. The ASI cards are replaced by the BXM cards that implement Stratm technology, enabling the BXM cards to deliver the most advanced ATM switching and traffic management in the industry.

Last date to enter orders (end of sale): July 30, 1999
Last date to ship products: February 1, 2000
The above ASI cards will not support new features after Release 9.2. They will, however, continue to be supported by software (can run with new releases of software but will not support new features) until July 2002. The above products will be declared obsolete on July 2004.
Ordering Information
Orders after July 30, 1999 will be automatically transferred over to the new products based on the following matrix:
