End-of-Life AnnouncementOverview
The Cisco DSLBU (Digital Subscriber Line Business Unit) is announcing the end-of-life for all Cisco IOS® trains prior to and including 12.1(4) DA. Customers are encouraged to migrate to 12.1(5) DA for deployments utilizing two-port and four-port line cards and to migrate to 12.1(6) DA or the latest Cisco IOS software for deployments utilizing eight-port line cards for existing and continuing digital subscriber line (DSL) rollouts. For details on the incremental features and bug fixes added for releases up to 12.1(5) and 12.1(6), please refer to the release notes at the following Web site:

Product IDs and dates (last-time buy, end-of-hardware support, and end-of-software support) are listed below.
End-of-Life Products
Definitions: LTB = last-time buy, EOSS = end-of-software support (no more software bug fixes),
EOHS = end-of-hardware support (no more hardware bug fixes)
Last Software Support Date
The last date of support for current hardware or software is August 3, 2004. The end-of-support announcement will be posted on the DSLBU Web site. Any issues with software or hardware beyond these dates will not be addressed. The customer will be required to migrate to new DSL products available at that time.
Date for Discontinuing Renewal of Contracts
Existing service contracts will be honored. New contracts will not be honored beyond end-of-support dates for the software or hardware.
Obsoletion
All Cisco IOS software versions up to and including 12.1(4) DA are considered obsolete, and all activities required to support these products will cease on August 3, 2004.
