Cisco is announcing the End-of-Sale (EOS) of the Cisco 1538 Series Micro Hub and 1548 Series Micro Switch family of products as per the descriptions and schedule detailed below. Cisco recommends that customers migrate to the Cisco Catalyst® 2950 Series Switches, an affordable line of switches that bring basic and intelligent services to small and mid-sized networks.

The last order date for affected products is November 29, 2002. Due to limited product availability, the last time buy order may be scheduled sooner than November 29, 2002. Last time buy orders should be placed as soon as possible.

They are standalone, fixed-configuration, managed 10/100 switches providing basic workgroup connectivity for small to mid-sized companies. These wire-speed desktop switches come with Standard Image (SI) Software features and offer Cisco IOS® functionality for basic data, video and voice services at the edge of the network.
