Product Support Entitlements
The CISCO1502-8E and CISCO1503-8M hubs came with a 1-Year Return to Factory warranty. Cisco will honor these original warranties, providing in-warranty hardware repair or replacement on a return-to-factory basis.
Product Substitution
CISCO1528U-DS hub is the replacement for CISCO1502-8E hub, and CISCO1516M hub is the replacement for CISCO1503-8M hub. See the table below for recommended substitutions:

Why are we ending sale of the CISCO1502-8E and CISCO1503-8M hubs?
End-of-Sale of these products as of December 15, 1998 is due the following reasons:
•
10 Base T hubs prices are dropping, making 1502 and 1503 hubs not competitively priced.
•Higher bandwidth technologies such as 10/100 hubs and switches are becoming a viable alternative. Cisco offers CISCO1528 and CISCO1548. The managed versions will be available in first quarter of calendar 1999.
•Cisco has other products that can support the 10 Base T market, such as CISCO1516M.
