END-OF-LIFE NOTICE, NO. 1286
Cisco Systems® is announcing the End-of-Sale (EoS) for the IGX8450 (IGX + SES) bundle consisting of the combination of a Service Expansion Shelf (SES), the Universal Switching Module (UXM) with back cards (SMF/MMF), and an IGX8420, with an effective date of February 6, 2001. Customers will continue to receive Technical Assistance Center (TAC) and RMA support for these modules for a period of five years after their respective EoS announcements.

ORDERING INFORMATION
March 6, 2001, will be the last date to enter orders for this bundle. Hardware support for these products will be provided until February 6, 2006. Customers will continue to receive Technical Assistance Center (TAC) and RMA support for these modules for a period of five years, after their respective EoS announcements. Although there is no replacement for this bundle, the MGX8230 can be used in combination with any model of IGX, as an alternative.
