Cisco Systems® announces the end-of-sale and end-of-life dates for the Cisco® MGX® PXM-1E 4-port OC-3/STM-1 and 8-port T3/E3 switching and network interface modules. The last day to order these modules is July 11, 2006. Customers with active service contracts will continue to receive support from the Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC) until July 11, 2011. Table 1 describes the end-of-life milestones, definitions, and dates for the affected products. Table 2 lists the product part numbers affected by this announcement.
The capabilities of these modules are already provided by other Cisco MGX PXM-1E modules such as the 8-port T3/E3 and 4-port OC-3/STM-1 combination cards or the 8-port OC-3/STM-1 cards that are currently available. These newer cards are part of the continuing release of several new hardware products intended to enrich and refresh the Cisco MGX Family. Customers are encouraged to migrate to the respective product options listed in Table 3. More information about these products can be found at http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/switches/ps1938/index.html
