Cisco Systems® is announcing the End of Life of the Cisco CDDI and FDDI EISA Adapters for PC, SGI, and HP Workstations.
End-of-Sale: July 31, 1996
Last Ship Date: July 31, 1996
Support will be provided for three years, or until July 31, 1999.
COMMENTS
• We will only support existing products on existing EISA platforms. This includes current versions of driver software running under existing operating system revisions. The following is a list of operating systems software versions we will support during this End-of-Life timeline:
– HP-UX 9.05, 10.0, SGI IRIX 5.2, 5.3, 6.01, 6.1
– Windows NT 3.51 Intel, MIPS-alpha
– Netware Server 3.12, 4.1
– EISA Flash firmware 4.4, 4.5
- We will not support compatibility with future PCs, HP, and SGI workstations.
- Notification of End of Life to customers or prospects who may be contemplating purchases is important in order for Cisco to forecast for large purchases prior to discontinuation.
- Please use the following list as alternatives for CDDI/FDDI EISA Adapter products from other manufacturers.

Interphase provides HP UX 9.X and 10.X and Windows NT 3.5 driver support. The CDDI adapter cards are also available for STP with DB9 connectors and the FDDI adapters are available with MIC, ST, and SC connectors; however, the dual-attached FDDI adapters are only available with ST and SC connectors.
