PRODUCT MIGRATION OPTIONS
The recommended replacement products for the Cisco 2-port OC-3 POS line cards are the Cisco 2-port OC-3/STM-1 POS SPAs (Table 3), which are available on high-end Cisco Systems routing platforms offering the benefits of network scalability with lower initial costs and ease of upgrades. The SPAs are available with two Small Form-Factor Pluggable (SFP) interfaces. SFP modules are available in multiple optical reaches from 2 to 80 km. A single line-card slot on the Cisco 7304 can support two Cisco 2-port OC-3 POS SPAs, thus increasing the interface density.
