EOS/EOL for Cisco IOS Software Releases 12.2(14)SZ for the Cisco 7304 Router [Cisco 7300 Series Routers]

End-of-Life Notice, No. 2929

Cisco Systems® announces the end-of-sale and end-of-life dates for the Cisco IOS® Software Releases 12.2(14)SZ for the Cisco® 7304 Router. The last day to order the affected product is December 16, 2005. Customers with active service contracts will continue to receive support from the Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC) until December 16, 2010.

Table 1 describes the end-of-life milestones, definitions, and dates for the affected product. Table 2 lists the product part numbers affected by this announcement.

Customers are encouraged to migrate to the Cisco IOS Software Release 12.2(20)S or later on the Cisco 7304 Router, which provides additional features and enhanced after-sale support. End of Service Contract Renewal Date	The last date to extend or renew a service contract for the product.	June 16, 2010
Last Date of Support	The last date to receive service and support for the product. After this date, all support services for the product are unavailable, and the product becomes obsolete.	December 16, 2010

Product Migration Options

The recommended replacement for the Cisco IOS Software Release 12.2(14)SZ for the Cisco 7304 Router is the Cisco IOS Software Release 12.2(20)S or later. Cisco IOS Software Release 12.2(20)S or later is the recommended release for all customers interested in new features. It has feature parity with Release 12.2(14)SZ. For customers deploying Release 12.2(14)SZ today, all features are supported in Release 12.2(20)S or later.
