The end-of-sale date for the Cisco® 7200 Series NPE-175 Network Processing Engine was July 15, 2000. Customers with active service contracts will continue to receive support from the Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC) until July 15, 2005.
Table 1 describes the end-of-life milestones, definitions, and dates for the Cisco NPE-175. Table 2 lists the product part numbers affected by this announcement and replacement product information. This notice is an addendum to the original Cisco NPE-175 end-of-sale and end-of-life bulletin.
The end of software support for the Cisco NPE-175 follows:
• Software support ends in Cisco IOS® Software releases 12.1(14)E, 12.2(24), 12.0(27)S, and 12.2(15)T.
• Bug fixes will be provided for 36 months after the Cisco NPE-175 end-of-sale date (July 15, 2000).
• The last date to receive support from the Cisco TAC is July 15, 2005.

PRODUCT MIGRATION OPTIONS
The recommended replacement for the Cisco NPE-175 is the Cisco NPE-400. Note that the Cisco NPE-400 requires a Cisco 7200VXR chassis. More information about the Cisco NPE-400 can be found at: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/routers/ps341/product_data_sheet09186a00800ae715.html.
PRODUCT TMP OPTIONS
Customers can use the Cisco Technology Migration Plan (TMP) to trade in products and receive credit toward the purchase of new Cisco Systems® equipment.
