Cisco Events (Mobile App)

  1. Overview

    This Privacy Data Sheet describes the processing of personal information in connection with your use of Cisco Events. Cisco Events is a cloud-based mobile event app solution made available by Cisco, and powered by EventBase, for use by attendees of Cisco’s in-person events. Cisco Events provides event information, wayfinding, games, and networking opportunities to those attending in-person Cisco Events. Use of Cisco Events is not required to attend those events.

    Cisco will process personal data from Cisco Events in a manner that is consistent with our Online Privacy Statement and this Privacy Data Sheet. This Privacy Data Sheet is a supplement to the Cisco Online Privacy Statement.

  2. Collection and Use of Personal Data

    The table below lists the personal data processed by the Cisco Events mobile application to provide its services and describes why the data is processed.

    • Event itineraries (e.g., list of sessions that you users have elected to attend)
    • Enable users to use the app in connection with their registered events.

    • IP address (local)
    • Device ID
    • Wayfinding – providing personalized location and directions onsite
  3. Data Retention

    The table below describes how long we will retain your personal data.

    Please note that there may be instances where Cisco may retain your personal information, such situations where we believe further retention may be necessary to comply with our legal obligations or to protect the rights, property, and/or safety of Cisco or any other organization or individual.

  4. With Whom do We Share Information

    Cisco may share your information with its affiliates and suppliers to process your data for the purposes referenced in this Privacy Data Sheet and Cisco’s Online Privacy Statement. Cisco may also share your data:

    • To third parties (such as a purchasing organization and their legal, financial, and other advisors) in connection with a merger or acquisition of a Cisco group company or a sale of Cisco’s assets;
    • With law enforcement officials and other government organizations and third parties if we believe it is necessary to comply with our legal obligations or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Cisco or any other organization or individual; or
    • Where we otherwise notify you of such sharing.

    Various data protection laws around the world provide individuals with certain rights regarding their personal information. This may include the right to access, correct, delete, object to or limit the processing of your personal information, or to submit a complaint to your local data protection authority.     We will confirm identification (typically with the email address associated with a Cisco account) before responding to the request. If we cannot comply with the request, we will provide an explanation.

    We will endeavor to timely and satisfactorily respond to inquiries and requests. If a privacy concern related to the personal data processed or transferred by Cisco remains unresolved, contact Cisco’s US-based third-party dispute resolution provider. Alternatively, you can contact the data protection supervisory authority in your jurisdiction for assistance. Cisco’s main establishment in the EU is in the Netherlands.
