The Topology tab provides an integrated view of the Cisco Nexus Dashboard Data Broker network.

Beginning with Nexus Dashboard Data Broker release 4.0, the icons used to denote the various nodes in Topology have been modified for an enhanced look and better customer experience.

The topology diagram is displayed in an hierarchical fashion. The SPAN devices (such as the ACI fabric and production switches) are presented in the first row, followed by the NDB devices. The last row is the monitoring tools. The connections between the various nodes are also indicated. Click the Info icon, at the bottom of the page, to display the Topology Legend window. The Topology Legend window contains the key to the icons used in the topology diagram.

To get information about a node in brief, click (single-click) the node. Double-click the node if you want more detailed information about the node. A separate pop-up window is displayed to the right of the screen.

Use the Filter by attributes search bar to filter the displayed nodes of the topology. The filter parameters are: display name, IP address, device type, and platform. Based on the selected parameter, the relevant node is highlighted in the topology diagram. The format for entering the seach criteria is provided in the following example:

Display Name == ACI Fabric1

The topology diagram is presented in the default vertical view. See Change the Topology View task for the detailed procedure to change the topology view.

Note	Click Refresh( ) to view the latest topology.

The Actions button, adjacent to the Refresh icon, provides quick access to perform these tasks:
