Cisco Network Insights Advisor (NIA) application consists of a monitoring utility that are added to the Cisco Application Policy Infrastructure Controller (APIC).

This document describes the features, issues, and limitations for Cisco NIA on the Cisco APIC.

In the Lab environment you can install Cisco NIA app on APIC-CLUSTER-M1/M2 or APIC-CLUSTER-L1/L2. We do not recommend installing Cisco NIA app on APIC-CLUSTER-M1/M2 or APIC-CLUSTER-L1/L2 in the production environment.

Usage Guidelines and Limitations

■ Upgrade from Cisco NIA 2.1.1 to Cisco NIA 2.1.2. App is supported.

■ Cisco NIA checks for metadata update every hour. However, there may not be an update every time.

■ When the Device Connector is unclaimed from the on-premise GUI application, the Device Connector must be unclaimed from Intersight for TAC Assit’s connected TAC functionality to work.

■ TAC Assist started from Cisco NIA 2.1.2 App will not show up in Cisco NI Base and vice versa.
