This document describes how to configure a RealPresence Experience (RPX) system on a Cisco TelePresence Server.
Prerequisites
Requirements
Cisco recommends that you have knowledge of Cisco TelePresence Servers.
Components Used
The information in this document is based on Cisco TelePresence Servers.
The information in this document was created from the devices in a specific lab environment. All of the devices used in this document started with a cleared (default) configuration. If your network is live, make sure that you understand the potential impact of any command.
Configure
Note: This feature requires the third-party interoperability feature key to be installed on the TelePresence Server.
Complete these steps in order to configure a two-screen RPX system on the TelePresence Server:
- Log in to the TelePresence Server and choose Endpoints > Add grouped endpoints.
- Enter a name for the grouped system.
- Enter the addresses of the individual endpoints (separated by a comma, and in left to right order as you view them) in the Calling out address list field.
- Click Add grouped endpoints.
The grouped endpoint is created.
Complete these steps in order to configure some properties of the group:
- Choose Endpoints > endpoint_group_name > Configuration in order to go to the endpoint's configuration page.
- Check the Cameras are cross connected check box.
- Click Update endpoint.
- Choose Endpoints > endpoint_group_name > Advanced settings.
- In the Transmitted video resolutions drop-down list, choose 4:3 resolution only.
- In the Screen to receive content/audio drop-down list, choose the address of the nominated primary codec.
On the two-screen RPX system, the primary codec is the second codec from the left. On a four-screen RPX system, the primary codec is the third codec from the left.
- Click Update endpoint.
