We attract, retain, and develop HR talent to fill critical roles for our next generation of leaders. The HRUP rotational program is for interns who are pursuing their bachelor's degree and full time workers who have graduated with a bachelor's degree. The HRLP rotational program is for interns with prior work experience who are pursuing an MBA or other Masters degree with an emphasis in Human Resources or Organizational Behavior.
Both programs begin with a 12-week summer internship that's open to students the summer before their graduation year. Interns are aligned to specific areas within HR based on individual preference and collaborate as an intern cohort to complete and present a business proposal by the end of the summer. The internship serves as a gateway to a permanent full-time position in the HRUP/HRLP rotational program.
HR Leadership Program (HRLP)
The HR Leadership Program is a three–year accelerated development program designed to grow high potential talent into key leadership roles. The program’s value proposition is to develop our next generation of HR leaders. We do this by attracting, retaining and developing a community of innovative talent from top MBA and HR masters programs. The program consists of three one-year assignments within the HR function which enhance business acumen and HR expertise. We deploy participants into high impact consulting roles that enable them to lead transformational change across Cisco’s business and the HR function. Through these assignments, participants are provided experiential learning in leadership roles across the HR organization.
HRUP rotational program
Our HRUP Rotational Program is designed for recent university graduates to engage with multiple HR disciplines and drive program implementation during their first years out of school. The program is 27 months and consists of three nine-month rotations which culminates into a full-time placement at the end of the rotations. All work assignments, whether intern or full-time, are aligned to immediate business needs identified by our HR Leadership Team and take into consideration the preferences of the individual. Our interns and full-time program members work in various high-visibility, value-driving roles in practice areas and business partnership functions.
