Support for Cisco Software Applications

In addition, customers with SAS or SASU service contracts can get software support through the Cisco Service Center or the Product Upgrade Tool (PUT). The Cisco Service Center provides immediate access to maintenance releases or service packs. PUT usually provides access to minor or major releases because downloading these files from PUT is more practical than douwnloading from the Cisco Service Center. Very often, CDs are shipped from PUT along with valid service agreements.

To summarize, Cisco OS software support is a key service component of Cisco SMARTnet, SMARTnet Onsite Support, and some partner programs. Software application support is a key service component of SAS and SASU.
