Cisco MeetingPlace Server 8112 (M3) |
Versions: R5.0.2q, R5.1.0x and 5.1.1b |
|||
Problem Description
There is potential for a low level Lynx OS problem to cause the server to restart with a hardware watchdog timeout, or for disk partitions to become corrupted.
Problem Symptoms
If the system restarts, all users will be disconnected from the meeting. If the disk is corrupted, the down time will be longer. The length of the down time will depend on the degree of corruption and whether it can be recovered using the backup partitions.
Workaround/Solution
WORKAROUND:
None
SOLUTION:
The following hot fixes must be applied to all M3 servers.
A patched version of the Lynx OS kernel for 5.1.1e is available. You must also apply the xntpd 5.1.1d hot fix. Contact the Cisco Technical Assistance Center to apply this hot fix.
Note: If the M3 server version is at 5.0.2q, you must first upgrade to 5.1.1b before applying the hot fixes.
