Problem Description

Cisco MeetingPlace Server restarts because gwsimgr (module 25) is not responding. This is caused by internal message congestion on the Cisco MeetingPlace server that accompanies a gateway failure due to a race condition in shared memory on the gateway unit.

Problem Symptoms

All meeting attendees will be dropped from their conferences when the Cisco MeetingPlace Server restarts.

Workaround/Solution

WORKAROUND:

None

SOLUTION:

A gwsimgr is available for 4.3.1g, 5.0.2ab and 5.1.1d. You should also load gwsim 4.2.1.25 or Web 4.3 maintenance release on all gateway units to address the root cause of this problem. Contact the Cisco MeetingPlace Technical Assistance Center.
