Cisco MeetingPlace Server 8112 (M3)
Versions: 5.1.0x, 5.1.1b
When a disk drive is corrupted with the root directory permission set to zero, there is an xntpd core dump that is generated. The core dump could be the cause of the root partition corruption, the result of the corruption, or it might have no relation at all. Lynx OS provided a fix to address the problem that caused the xntpd core dump.
When the disk drive is corrupted, the server does not operate correctly. The corrupted drive needs to be removed, and the server must be restarted.
A 5.1.1d xntpd hot fix is available. Contact the Cisco MeetingPlace Technical Assistance Center to apply the hot fix.
