Cisco MeetingPlace for Outlook |
4.2.7.83 and earlier |
Problem Description
The MeetingPlace for Outlook service and the MeetingPlace Notification Gateway service can get out of sync and stop communicating with each other, even though they are both still running. In this case, the meeting notifications for Cisco MeetingPlace Web and MeetingTime scheduled meetings will not be delivered.
Problem Symptoms
Notifications are lost and not delivered.
Workaround/Solution
This issue has been fixed in Cisco MeetingPlace Outlook 4.2.7.84 Patch. This patch is available on CCO at the Cisco MeetingPlace for Outlook Download Page (registered customers only) .
Installation Instructions:
-
Stop the MeetingPlace for Outlook service.
-
Copy mpoutlook.exe to the \latitude\mpweb\mpoutlook\ folder.
-
Start the MeetingPlace for Outlook service and allow the database to build. Depending on the size of the calendar folder, the DB build can take up to 12 hours. The notifications will not be sent out during this time so you might want to schedule it at non-peak time.
-
This hot fix will not affect customizations.
